What we do and who we are!
The Natural, Environmental and Ecological Management organization (N.E.E.M.) of North Carolina (NC) promotes Sustainable Community
Development. We are a Neem Tree based group but our focus is in the Sustainable Community in all respects. You cannot seek
to provide a partial sustainable community; it is multi-faceted or "total community" approach that is required.
While embracing Neem and Neem Tree by products we have wrapped ourselves around the total sustainable movement since 1994.
"Sustainable" is now a buzz word; it has been for N.E.E.M.org for 14+ years!
So, while we work in Neem we also work in housing, water, energy, environment, Economic and residential green development
or all aspects of the sustainable community.
We are a group dedicated to promote Neem to improve our health, planet and its ecosystems. The organization will inform,
educate, assist and create NEEM based industries in local, regional, national and international markets. The Natural, Environmental
and Ecological Management organization (N.E.E.M.) will consult in all phases to foster the awareness of Neem and Biological
alternatives that perpetuate healthy ecological growth improving the environment, health and economies in a sustainable way.
We seek to accelerate research and product development, deliver health tools to people who need them, and build resources
and political commitment for global health using existing natural and renewable resources.
Neem currently has USDA approval for use on food-stuffs as an alternative natural pesticide and fertilizer. NEEM is also
approved for use in home health care products (ingested and topical).
Infrastructure for procurement of NEEM is in place from producer's under Fair Trade conditions.
International commodities trade associations and processes are available.
We have established relationships and Associations in major production areas in India, Sub Sahara Africa, the Caribbean,
Central America and Australia.
N.E.E.M.org has established the NEEM Tree Project. that will provide funding for extraction equipment in economically
distressed countries where NEEM grows but the funding for Producers is required. Creating new markets insures additional supply
and promotes self-reliance. Economic stimulus is created where it is desperately needed while enhancing our own ecological
profile.
NEEM grows on the equatorial belt and is not indigenous to or grow (in sufficient quantities) in the United States.
We therefore trade where NEEM is prolific. In-so-doing we support sustainable economic growth.
Outsourcing is not bad when there is no viable alternative.
Everyone wins when you do the right thing.
