ESP(TM) - a project Newsletter

These projects are in funding process or development.
Make no mistake about these projects. They are filed as "Earth Shaping Projects" because the universal effect
of each project is profound in their individual intensity and the good each brings to sustainability in the global community.
You will get excited when you see what we do.
Natural Environmental Ecological Management for a sustainable future.
ESP Project List:
NEEM TREE PROJECT(TM) - Sub Sahara Africa and the Caribbean/Latin Basin - N.E.E.M. has established the NEEM TREE PROJECT that
will seek to provide funding for extraction equipment in economically distressed countries where NEEM grows but the funding
for Producers is required. Creating new markets insures additional supply and promotes self-reliance. Economic stimulus is
created where it is desperately needed while enhancing our own ecological profile.
The producers are minority women who may achieve total utilization of equipment by extracting Shea Butter and edible oils
for cooking when the NEEM season is over.
Sustainable Economies are created for minority women.
The increase in production of high quality Organic NEEM by-products increases availability and decreases price while offering
a replacement to chemical inputs.
Health care from NEEM products provides an organic means to address critical health issues with-in production countries
promoting self sufficiency and Democratic values.
Empowerment - Funders empower recipients by funding the equipment necessary for production to the new producer who in
turn provides the sweat equity, land, building and labor.
The Voice - the people tell us what they need and we assist in providing it using the neemtree model.
The Board - the Funder(s) have one seat on the Board, multiple investors share a seat in the Collaborative partnership.
In-so-doing we support minority self-determination and promote sustainable health, economic growth and sustainability
in general. Giving to the The NEEM TREE PROJECT(TM) is a contribution to sustaiunability.

S.O.S. - SUSTAINABLE ORGANIC SUPPORT
We are accelerating NEEM research and product development, delivering health tools to people who need them, and building
resources and political commitment for global health and sustainability. This is a critical project in emerging economies.
Promotion of production in the NEEM Tree Project will provide raw material for research. As an anti-viral neem has potential
in the fight against AIDS. As a natural pesticide it has been proven effective against Malaria and related diseases. S.O.S.
is seeking funding for the research and development of NEEM products to address these global health issues. Successful implementation
of these projects will promote health and sustainability globally while providing the raw materials for Health and Agricultural
endeavors in every market. Research and clinical trials and results are in place. It is not a question of whether Neem can
do the things we have discussed; it can. It is a matter of promoting it through education and additional testing to thoroughly
integrate neem and put it in its rightful place as a sustainable, yearly harvestable, naturally occurring, biological alternative
to chemicals inputs.
We will promote and educate Neem in North Carolina as a biological alternative to chemical pesticides in agricultural
community. We will bring Neem as an adjunct resource for sustainable agricultural development. Our focus is but not limited
to the small and minority farm in North Carolina.
Funding from Grants, Donations and Philanthropic resources will specify the area of interest or focus of the funding.
Get excited, we are.
MALARIA and AIDS
MALARIA - One of the neem components, gedunin (a limonoid), is as effective as quinine against malaria. Malaria affects
millions of people and is responsible for about 2 million deaths every year in India and several other countries.
Because of growing problems of resistance to conventional treatments, it is becoming more and more difficult to control
malaria. Should neem products prove effective cure against malaria, the dream of complete eradication of malaria might become
a reality.
AIDs - NEEM is an anti-virul and Clinical Trials are under way now for the use of NEEM as a natural, organic means of
treating AID's. Neem contains immune modulating polysaccharide compounds; the polysaccharide may be responsible for increasing
antibody production. Other elements of neem may stimulate immune function by enhancing cellular mediated response. This
dual action can help the body ward off the frequent infections that generally accompany AIDS.
Inhibitory potential of neem (Azadirachta indica Juss) leaves on dengue virus type-2 replication.
In the present study we report in vitro and in vivo inhibitory potential of crude aqueous extract of neem leaves and pure
neem compound (Azadirachtin) on the replication of Dengue virus type-2. In vitro antiviral activity of aqueous neem leaves
extract assessed in C(6/36) (cloned cells of larvae of Aedes albopictus) cells employing virus inhibition assay showed inhibition
in dose dependent manner. The aqueous extract of neem leaves at its maximum non-toxic concentration of 1.897 mg/ml completely
inhibited 100-10,000 TCID(50) of virus as indicated by the absence of cytopathic effects. The in vivo protection studies with
neem leaves extract at its maximum non-toxic concentrations 120-30 mg/ml resulted in inhibition of the virus replication as
confirmed by the absence of Dengue related clinical symptoms in suckling mice and absence of virus specific 511 bp amplicon
in RT-PCR. The pure neem i.e. Azadirachtin did not reveal any inhibition on Dengue virus type-2 replication in both in vitro
and in vivo systems.
When a process is sustainable, it can be carried out over and over without negative environmental effects or impossibly
high costs to anyone involved.
Introduce Neem to the process and it will be sustainable!
